I am buying a radio. The radio is BF 888S. I am looking for codes for Peterborough Fire and EMS and bus lines. Where can I find the info? Not sure if I can get Peterborough Police anymore.

Why is there two codes on radio pics of the site like for example : top says 155.500 and bottom says 438.500?

thanks.

As mentioned the BF888 is a cheap analog radio, marketed towards ham radio use. Peterborough Fire uses DMR digital, and EMS is on a trunked system (and soon to be digital). To get both in the same radio you're looking at a high end scanner that will run you several hundred $$.

Peterborough Fire is on a DMR linked System, which is digital. OPP and EMS are on FleetNet which is in the process of switching over to encrypted digital system.
These low price budget ham radios such as these Baofeng series, are not adequate for scanning trunked and digital systems. They are meant for ham radio and geared towards 2m and 70cm band repeaters for those wishing to obtain their amateur radio license. That particular radio is the UHF band.
