Anyone know the frequency for Ace Towing? The two locations I have for them are 30 S Tejon St in Denver and 7800 W Jewell Ave in Lakewood.

What does their antenna look like on the vehicle? A lot of tow companies use non-trunked freqs. in the 851.000 range. Can you get close to one with a freq. counter?

I am pretty sure the one in denver leases space on a a 900 meg trunked system.

A few years back when they got some new trucks we installed some 900 meg kenwood mobiles in them--but who knows, a lot of that 900 stuff has gone away due to rebanding.

Looks like I might have to go do some close call work sometime to see if I can find out what it might be. I have not really paid close attention to any of their trucks to notice the type of antenna. If the weather ever warms up a little above the freezing point maybe I'll spend some of my C7 (lunch) time over by dispatch at 7800 W Jewell Ave. Thanks for the replies thus far.

OK a little Close Call Surv and found out that the Freq. is 454.5500. Now that I have figured that out does anyone know why it might be breaking squelch about every 10 seconds for just a split second? It's nice to have their Freq as they are our tow company and would be nice to know what they are saying about us at times.

If that is indeed the freq, it is probably a LTR system, and that is one of the channels of the system.

Ironically that frequency is one of the Callcomm UHF LTR system frequencies that also has the MNN Radio service.

I do not have the LCN's handy but all freqs for that particular system are in the 454.025 to 454.600 range.
