Well you know the old saying that you never appreciate you have until it’s gone. Well, I’m on vacation now and somewhere between Milwaukee and Detroit, the antenna for my 436HP made its way thru a small hole in a bad cloth carry on bag. I discovered that Saturday when I got my scanner out. Well I ordered a new one that is supposed to be better but I’m not picking up too much without it. There’s a railroad track behind the hotel and planes are constantly flying over so I pickup some traffic. I’ll see how it works at the Detroit airport Wednesday. Moral of the story is to make certain that your carry on bag is better than mine.😊😕

The only thing is that the clip is just a bit too wide. If I can get it to stay on there it seems to do the trick.

I’ll see if the hotel front desk has some safety pins or something metallic with a fine point when I get back. I’m walking around the HENRY FORD MUSEUM right now. Thanks guys.

I used a wire bag tie (like the ones on lawn clipping bags) on my 396T when I left the antenna at home. Might work for you.
Check out the Rosa Parks Bus exhibit at the museum btw... awesome restoration!

Absolutely. I was actually here last year for the first time. I’m a member now since you save money. So I went again since I know I missed things. Yes since I’m a bus nut, that coach is beautifully restored.

You could get a better antenna from one of these reputable online store. Sorry for your trouble.

I used SCANNERMASTER. I’ve used them several times before and never a problem. I got the temporary paper clip to stay in place thanks to a rubber band. Yes, happy days are here again but I learned my lesson.
