These are the agencies listed in the Multnomah County SO's press release:

Multnomah County Sherriff's Office / SAR
SearchOne Canine Inc.
Portland Police Bureau
Major Crimes Team (PPB, Gresham Police, Fairview Police, OSP, and the FBI)
Portland Mountain Rescue
Yamhill County Canine
Washington County Sherriff's Office / SAR
Yamhill County Sherriff's Office
Clark County Sherriff's Office
Pacific NW Search and Rescue
Oregon National Guard

What they don't list is that at one point yesterday (or the day day before?) they had Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue's Dive Rescue team up in the area, because there is a large pond across the street from the school. Whether TVF&R is still helping with the search is unknown.

As for the frequencies...unfortunately, I haven't been following the incident because of work.

Since there are multiple agencies from multiple different counties with different radios systems and private groups, they might be running different channels. Probably the state SAR channel might be used and then other talkgroups on Mult. system, possibly the Mult A thru D channels.

From the sounds of it with the press conferences, there probably isn't much radio traffic. Sounds more investigative type work going on, even though there are still search teams conducting secondary searches of the area.

Just found out the FBI is bringing their Mobile Command Center into Portland from DC...

"The Mobile Command Center has been equipped with multiple radio systems that allow our managers to direct and control both land-based and airborne assets. To ensure maximum portability, the center was designed with the latest cellular and satellite communications equipment..."

Wonder why they need that....

Especially since Oregon state and Portland Fire & Rescue have Mobile Command Centers.

It's there now... They just showed it on the 8pm news (ch13)...

I've heard radio techs (I think that's what you call them) all day talking about the system and doing whatever it is that they are for communications.. (I can program and basically understand scanners, but when it gets past understanding a repeater, I'm lost) =)

Not to mention that TVF&R has a brand-spanking new one that I've only seen used once before.

Whose techs? And on what system?

Multnomah County is the system - BOEC
TG 37264

If the FBI had to bring their Comm. rig from DC to talk on the BOEC system, that's not only funny, it's pathetic. LOL
At our last big fire where the feds were helping us with the investigation, they used our Portland Fire & Rescue Comm. Van along with our investigators. The cause was established rather quickly, so they only spent the better part of one day here.
