Low Band Skip

At this time I am getting NOAA weather radio from Florida on 33.42

Any ideas?

That freq. is assigned to the Public Safety Pool by the FCC. I don't think NOAA would have anything in that area of the spectrum.
Maybe that agency was rebroadcasting an alert for the benefit of the responders. Did you hear mention of active weather?

NOAA has been heard on that frequency by several others (including me) before. I don't remember if anyone figured out why it's there.
