Joe,

The PRO-96 does not include the LTR mode for trunking. You can only monitor the LTR frequencies conventionally.

The PRO-97/2055 cover regular LTR trunked systems.

If you program the frequencies of an LTR system in, you will be able to monitor the agency, no problem. Unlike Motorola or MA/Comm, LTR uses one channel...East Fishkill, NY is an example. Most every transmission comes over one 460 frequency, yet five are assigned to the system. The only thing is you won't know who is transmitting.

While you may be correct in one way, you are wrong in the other way.
LTR has a home channel. Everything starts there. As the system gets busy, the other
users (if there are any ) are directed to non busy channels. The police normally have a priority on the home channel, so yes they normally stay there. But, if the home channel is already in use, you will find them on the next lcn channel that is not currently in use.

And to say it again, the pro-96 does not follow ltr trunking systems

Joe,

You would put the LTR frequencies in one of the PRO-96 banks and scan them as if they were non-trunked conventional frequencies. Depending on how much traffic the trunked systems actually has, you may hear most of the comms, but the talkgroups will not be displayed or trunk scanned.
