GSP Sayerville has what sounds like three units calling in as :M1,M2,M3.I hear them calling in stops ,signal 13,etc.What are they?or Who are they?

I believe it's in relation to the Mobile Vision Camera's in the Troop Car's.
M1=Window Camera
M2=Interior Display and or Mic equip.
This is how they describe the equipment when it is functional or not at start of shift. Pay close attention when they reference this. They also now employ a digital recording system, where they pull the car up to a certain area at their respective stations and the data is unloaded that way. There was a "Request for Bid" about this on the NJ Treasury website.
If you noticed you do not hear the troopers saying "I'll be on a 30 for a tape change"
BTW, I have never heard them say M3. If you can assertain what that is...........

I am VERY sure it's M3...They call in stops,13's,DL.checks etc.It seems to be only out of Sayerville on the GSP.
As I stated in a previous post, some departments have the capability to transmit audio & video from the car back to Hqs where dispatchers or supervisors can view events live in real time. Not sure about NJSP. Makes sense that it would take digital video & voice to achive this.

First, Holmdel Station is still listed on the NJSP website. I have yet to hear any of them. What talkgroup are they using? Even if what you say is true that does not deflect from the fact that they were using, M1, M2 as the camera equip. They may have just changed to use something else.

Troop E is currently evaluating a Motorcycle Pilot Program. The Troop E Motorcycle Unit utilizes four (4) Harley-Davidson FLHTPI Electra Glide motorcycles. The unit is currently assigned to the Troop E Traffic Office. The purpose of the program is to provide expedient responses to accidents and disabled vehicles that are located in highly congested areas of the Garden State Parkway.
