    Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value.     The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

    For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

M7 Adapter & Custom PTT

Hey gang, I am looking to build (try) a custom 3 radio PTT for a headset, and am wondering if there is somewhere I can get M7 connectors for APX/XPR radios. Ive done quite a bit of googling and searching around here, but no real luck for a 'blank' M7 connector/adapter.

The idea is for a PTT box that will take three radios and have a separate PTT switch for each lead, but mix the audio. For example, my perfect world scenario is:

Radio 1 - L speaker
Radio 2 - R Speaker
Radio 3 - Stereo

I will be perusing the forums more for insight on how to wire this up, but need to figure out the M7 connector first.

Thanks! I was looking for something with the cable relief, but I’m sure I could find one that fits the Hirose cutout. In essence, was looking for a “blank” no one with an adapter or with a cable I would need to cut.
