Do we have a listing for police files???
Example -- file 25, which I believe is a missing person. File 6 I think is driving after suspension....??.

Here are a few of them:
File 1: Stolen vehicle
File 3: State PD message
File 4: Hit/Run Accident
File 5: Wanted Person
File 6: Missing Person
File 7: Burglary Notice
File 8: Robbery Notice
File 13: General Info
File 25: General Admin Msg (Missing person usually start as a file 25 then get reissued as a file 6)
There are more, but these are the most used.
File 28: Severe Wx info

File 2 issued, after female run stop sign in 1 town, and caught by ycso... Yup, the file given meets this scene..

File 2 is a request from an agency to the State of Maine BMV for a certified copy of license status ie. suspended driver that is sent to the court or officer that is prosecuting a case

Just a wild guess, but after an incident last night, and just now - North Berwick just gave a file 2 on a vehicle...
Guess -- file 2= suspended registration

File 2 could be For a suspended license, Suspended registration, OUI arrest, habitual offender etc. It’s just a request from a law enforcement agency to the BWV for a certified record from the state of Maine to use in a prosecution of a case.

I did, and went by the arresting officer.......
