Don't have an answer for you but when you do get it up and running, would appreciate a review of your new radio. May want to get that radio for my HF listening.

Am on the IO groups and saw someone posted that the radio you bought is a fake chineese knock off. Not a official radio. Is that true? I like the design of that radio.
I ended up removing the message, people can be so negative at times.

Suggest you contact aliexpress. Could get lucky.
Unfortunately I don't know the original person/site it was purchased from.
Furthermore the DSP button on the board is either faulty or has other issues. I can get the unit into DSP mode and then it promptly disconnects.
Can you get the original firmware for it?
Maybe send a message to these folks to see if they can help.

Yes. I have the firmware. The problem is that any attempts to put the unit into DSP mode fails. The unit connects to the PC via USB and then within 2-4 secs disconnects.
Tried and tested on two different machines (Laptop and PC) and different cables. Both data cables used with a HackRF
Just an update - The radio unit is back in operation.
How did you get it back up?
Dismantled the radio, pushed the DFU button on the board then connected the battery (Fully charged) and then connected the USB cable then let go of DFU button
Was able to install the basic .hex from Malahite Website. After that had to send off $50 USD for new firmware with Key registration
