Well, that would be my personal last pick for a stolen vehicle to escape in.

I do wonder why this thing has taken more than half an hour to track down, especially since you know the dog is having an absolute fit in the back and won't give up until his Deputy comes back or he finds a way to eat this dork.

Yep, he's done...this just went from "amusing anecdote" to "dreadful and sad." You know, some places I've been treat the assault of a police dog the same way that they would assaulting a human LEO. I can only hope that's the case here...

Somewhere in that group of letters, I think you're saying that California officers are trigger happy without cause.

I have to wonder what Type of K-9 was in the car? I haven't read the article, but MOST Patrol Dogs won't let you near the car. Some of these newer units have K-9 transport units that separate the Dog from the handler the Dog escapes out the side Door. I feel for the Officer and His K-9.

I got to tell you No one would have got into my car with either of the Two Dogs I had back in my k-9 days...but they had access to the front seat escaped from an open drivers side or Passenger side window.

Ok Read the Article It was a Shepard but again wonder if it was a Drug, bomb, or Patrol Dog or a Mix of all the afore mentioned. The vehicle may indeed have a compartment that keeps the Dog from getting to the handler, I WOULD NOT LIKE THAT. I'm wondering if this dog was stabbed or one in the unit that caught the guy story doesn't make that to clear.

As for questions about charges its a very Serious NO NO in Ohio to harm a K-9 this guys gonna sizzle in Prison for a while over this. He'll get charged with Assaulting the Deputy, the K-9 and Stealing the cruiser!

The deputy grabbed onto the driver's side door of the cruiser as Krebs started driving; he was dragged 50 to 75 feet,

Well, that was brilliant, eh?

Can you imagine someone stealing your car and your partner locked in the back?
(That's a rhetorical question, of course you can't. Did you think about that before you posted?)
