Thank you very much for the info. I don't think there is a feed for Mansfield, maybe i can talk her into running one just for the PD and Fire.
As you've noticed, from the database link mass-man included, Mansfield is a mixed mode system- Moto Type 2, but the public safety talkgroups are P25. It's also recently rebanded.
Depending on exactly where she's at in
Mansfield (it's a fair sized city), some of the other area cities or systems might be of interest.
Arlington pretty well covers the eastern & northern sides of Mansfield. They're on this
system.
Besides Fort Worth and Tarrant County (Mansfield is in Tarrant County), many of the smaller suburbs, including Kennedale & Forest Hill (just to her west) are on this
system. There are a number of other systems that would be in range, but that may not interest her.
As mass-man indicated, we are now getting into our storm season, In fact, this past weekend, there were several small, weak,
tornadoes, including a couple in
Johnson County, which borders Tarrant on the south. Besides the Skywarn frequencies, posted above, I'd also suggest 147.0400,
Parker County. When we get severe weather, it usually moves in from the west, tracking generally easterly, occasionally northeast or southeast. So, I keep the Skywarn frequencies for the counties west of due North to due south of me handy, and also have the S.A.M.E.
codes loaded in my weather radio for a couple of counties out, to get a bit of early warning. If I get a warning for Parker County (the county west of Tarrant County/Fort Worth), then I know that if that storm holds together, or possibly intensifies, it could pose a threat to me in Dallas in an hour to an hour and a half.
