Just herd a marin bc on a new Sonoma feed broadcasting calfire ECCs
Is 'Woodacre' a cal fire ecc?
I thought it identified Marin County fire dispatch. Has MRN contracted with Calfire?

Woodacre has been the joint Marin/CDF ECC for years, at least as long as I've been listening, and long before when my uncle was based out of Kentfield. On CDF it is Marin Local, MERA is Woodacre. You will occasionally hear mutual aid dispatch from CDF (LNU West) to CDF (Marin), usually if it's a more significant event in the 101/37/Lakeville triangle. I've heard a call or two for 15xx units to respond to Tomales and Two Rock as well when REDCOM/LNU West are extra busy.

Woodacre is the Marin County Fire Department ECC, but MRN does not contract to CalFire, it's the other way around. CalFire contracts with MRN to provide fire protection for State Responsibility Area (SRA) within the county. Marin is one of the six "Contract Counties" along with Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura, Kern and Santa Barbara Counties.
