I just recently purchased a new TrunkTracker V BCD996P2 Scanner and have the Marlborough PD & FD Frequencies in it and they are working on Conventional. Whey they switch later this year, and from what I hear, the frequencies will be the same, what do I need to do on FREESCAN to change from convention to the new P25 Digital?

Both modes will work, however with ALL you'll hear un-decoded digital at the start of the transmissions.
(Basically it'll be noisy.)

I have a Uniden SDS100, and since Marlborough PD & FD switched to P25, I no longer hear Marlborough, but I still hear P25 from other cities. What could be going on? Firmware and database are up to date.

Are you using favorites lists? If so a database update does not update them. If you're monitoring the full database, and it is up to date, it should not be an issue as long as you are in range of their signal.

Welcome to the RR forums. In the same manner I suggested to the OP in post #2, you'll need to change Audio Type to digital for each channel you programmed in. It'd be much easier & faster to use Sentinel to update your favorites list versus making the changes by hand. FL changes don't happen automatically. You'll need to Update Master Database (HPDB) beforehand

Likely switched to optimized coverage, so while better in the city, it's far worse outside. Like Plymouth and Needham did.
If you look at the license history, you can see several sites were added to the license when the P25 emissions designator was added.

Can you tell me how you got it to work been trying for the last week....Thank you
I was using the favorites lists, but since I didn't have many, I deleted the favorites lists using Menu>Settings>Restore Options>Clear User Data. Since I had nothing left of mine on the radio, I reset it using Menu>Settings>Restore Options>Reset User Settings. Finally, I set the location with the zip code, Hudson 01749 in my case. Menu>Set your Location>Enter Zip Code>01749. The radio started working perfectly again, including listening to Marlboro DP & FD. I don't know if this was the right way, but it worked for me.

Looks like I bought my G5 just in time. Marlboro comes in VERY loud and clear.
Carry it at work

Good luck. I have a ton of radios and now the G5 is about the only one I use. Even with my scanner in the car I still just keep the G5 on it visor and get Boston 30plus miles away.
