In the database on this site it has Marshall Co 911 in Alabama with two frequencies:

154.325 I know this is right its 911 main channel
160.125 ?

Just wondered if anyone knew if the second one was backup/talkaround or what? any clues?

zac,

According to the FCC listing, 160.125 is the input to 154.325.
FCC listing shows 154.325 as FB2 and 160.125 as FX1 and MO.
With the FX1 and MO listing, 160.125 maybe being used as a link from the dispatch office to the repeater as well as mobiles input to the repeater. Some setups I have seen use a mobile radio for the "dispatch radio" either hooked to a console or straight from the mobile radio (just like you would use the car radio).

Steve,

Your conclusions from the FCC listing are correct. 160.125 is the input for mobile units to the repeater. The repeater frequency is 154.325. It is not necessary to have 160.125 in your scanner because all radio traffic on it will be transmitted on 154.325.
