The scantenna is A good all-around antenna but it is weekest in the 800mhz range. I had the same problem. I bought A Nil-Jon and it solved the problem.

There is a funny looking 800 antenna that goes onto a hand held I forgot the name but how can that 800 antenna be better than a antenna that is high in the sky and a larger antenna. I know 800 freq. doesn't require a long antenna.

Are you only using the primary CC? That is all you need to use and if you hear the prison on the primary CC then you should hear the OSP.

There are some confusions regarding that case, and you might as well review some items featured on the Maxrad Mobile Radio Antenna Line Catalog by Maxrad to be enlightened.

I see the concealed mounted glass patch are these any better than a rubber duck for general use? I don't see any pricing on these two units that mount a patch on interior auto glass.
