McKinney Shooting

Looks like someone pulled their truck into the parking lot of the McKinney Police department, set it on fire, then starting firing at officers. The suspect was then killed.

Been following CBS 11 coverage. This could have been A LOT worse than what it was. The trailer was filled with Ammonia Nitrate which he was trying to ignite but was unsuccessful. Over 100 rounds fired by the subject with an AR-15. BATFE, FBI, Texas Rangers as well as McKinney PD and CCSO, the Plano Bomb Squad and many Collin County agencies responded. The subject is being reported to have been wearing Body Armor but lacked the protective Kevlar.

Tonight he's dead and NO Police or civilians injured or killed. I noticed while listening to McKinney here, the provider had close to 800 listeners at one point.

The activity continues on CCSO Field Op's and PD-2.

Also hearing a bunch of activity on 461.6000 DCS: 261 and 462.3000 DCS: 546 Collin Community Collage Police.

Looks like a failed police officer that could never get a real law enforcement job, and had to revert to being a mall cop instead.
He used to be TCLEOSE certified...reports say.

Apparently, his security officer certs had expired, last year, or maybe even earlier, I forget which. One of the local stations reported that, but I don't remember the exact date right now, other than supposedly it had expired.
