The nextel stuff was for rebanding. They rebanded over 2 years ago, if you search here lots of info on rebanding.
Meriden got all new XTL2500 mobiles from Nextel for rebanding then contracted with Tait for a new radio
System and threw all the new radios away and put in tait radios. They are almost 2 years into the "New" tait system and its not up and running yet and the new dispatch center is not ready to use yet.
