mfj8322 software/freeware

Im thinking I made a huge mistake letting my brother purchase a MFJ*#@@8322 scanner. Does anyone have one of these?
Quality?

(Ive been tasked with needing to program it for him)he is blind.

As a uniden guy it just feels like a peice of &$&^&*(^.....

That said does anyone know where I might find some freeware programing for this radio?

No freeware that I know of - apart from Scancrap, PSRedit300 is supposed to work with this radio.

PSREdit300 - Configuration Editor for the PSR-300, PSR-400, PRO-163, PRO-164, PRO-97, PRO-2055 and MFJ-8322 Scanners

and ARC300 lists it as supported on BuTel's page...

Anything that works with the PSR-300 *SHOULD* work with this scanner...
