Some 8 Saudi F-15's due US for next Red Flag soon.
Logged in Spain the other day have their own A-330 MRT tankers
Think the bad wx forced delay.

We may not understand the tanker coms but should stand out anyhow

They are speaking with Moncton center now (1430Z) Getting closer to my station but now being sent back to NY Oceanic Control. The receiver is quite far away. They are having some type of maintenance issue. Being told to use HF 13306, 8906, 8846 or 6577 for NY Oceanic.
On 13306KHZ...will be meeting with BLUE81 at 1455Z. Told to keep listening watch on this freq.

1459z BLUE 83 reports will be doing 180 to join Coronet East 016 on ZNY 13306
1508z BLUE 83 reports joing Coronet at 40N 60W.
1517z BLUE 81 will contact on 125.925 42N 60W mentions DARK flight
Sounds like 3 Dyess B-1's with that callsign however reported to be Saudi F-15's
I recall Saudi F-15's years back enroute Red Flag using DARK callsign

One tanker going to McGuire, one to Pittsburgh. Fighters (DARK 31 Flight) will be breaking formation off Nantucket and heading to Seymour Johnson AFB. Tanker will be switching to NY AIR UHF 381.650. (At 1610Z...the fighters were instructed to use 269.300 Boston Center)

That was fun, Mark. Again, thanks for the heads up!
I almost missed this as I was in the garage when this all started. I happened to hear Moncton Center mention 'refueling' and 'BLUE' and that was my queue to check the PlanePlotter screen. As it turned out, it was a beautiful day at that time and I had been planning on rotating the Yagi to a more South-East orientation, just had to wait for the ice to melt on the roof.
I also had just lengthened my long-wire for HF and that seemed to make a difference. So when I post the audio, it will be the first one I recorded HF on.
Once again, I'm amazed with the antenna setup. Although far from ideal it was easily picking up the aircraft from over 250 miles away using a piece of 1" by 1" maple with a bunch of recycled tv antenna elements stuck in it fed by 40 feet of RG-6. (Even the discone picked up some of it.)
Looking forward to the second wave!

Rgr Look was fun morning from HF miles offshore to coms
coming down the coast. I think that is it for these guys.Saudi tankers landed McGuire.
Second group on ZDC 257.700 1705z Guessing 7 of the original 8 F-15's made the trip.

Yeah I use 50 foot wire horizontal dipole that doubles as my Ham radio antenna mainly best for 40 meter band
Want to add longer wire in the Spring and see if that helps.

Cheers

Just an FYI - If anyone sees Im as a sharer over the next while I'm up toward New Glasgow trying to share data using my laptop. I logged into my actual PlanePlotter PC remotely and I can see my laptop in the sharers list so it's at least partially working on the WiFi here at the cottages we're staying at this weekend.
