I don't know if it still works like this, but long ago, wing commanders would use T-38s as a way of getting to various locations quickly, like a private airliner that they fly.
So I was wondering about the possibility of this.

Interesting as that tail is Atlas Cargo type not pax.. Arrived last evening at Andrews and seems on training flight today.
Andrews pilots maybe doing pre-training for the Potus B-748 gifted by Qatar? May be a little different from B742 model.

Speaking of tail numbers, looks like an Ilyushin Il-96-300 with tail number 96023 just landed JFK. I've read that Putin usually uses 96022, but uses others in 9602X range. Any idea who's visiting?

LOL. Answered my own question: Apparently this is also known as the "cocaine plane". Apparently over 800lbs of cocaine was found at the Russian embassy allegedly headed to being loaded on a Russian diplo flight from Argentina a few years back.

Saw that over last 2-3 weeks this 747 has been everywhere. It was using callsign Atlas 3. So now it's Venus 03---means it's been turned /loaned to 89th As?
