Think I'm hearing that beacon up here in CNJ. Sounds like a data burst every 2 seconds.
SCORE-90 just asked if he could get higher than 55k on Pax river 305.200.
Cleared to Fl-600 on readback and there she goes on slow climb up.Not many clouds up there :)

See a new C-130J type at Dobbins (AE7799) #21-5996.
Lockheed will soon get C-130J types into -6000 number range soon..

1056L- Ron, hearing RAVEN 11 flight coming up through NJ. First on ZDC 363.0, then ZNY 290.2, now on ZNY 282.3, self ID'ed as 2 A-10's. Looking to meet up with their tanker over Concord, then direct Portland. Then a single A-10 just checked in AXEMAN 11, same route.
1112L- Hearing RAVEN flt A/A 139.6 (am)
1122L- Hearing weak A/A 140.7 (am), haven't heard this one in a while. Just heard DEVIL 01 & 02 callsigns. Guess they still use these VHF freqs.
My Son works at Portland airport (KPWM) and told me he saw some MD A-10s on the ramp. More arrived today. Checked ATC freqs on recordings.

1201pm 282.200 AXMAN flight working ZBW for entrance into YANKEE 1&2 MOAs over NH.
1255pm 257.800 WARDOG 11 flight of two working Portland tower low approach then full stop.
0117pm 282.200 WARDOG wkg ZBW. MARSA with RAVEN, AXMAN, and YETI (sounded like) in YANKEE MOA.
0136pm 257.800 RAVEN 11 flight of two for the initial approach runway 11 right break then full stop.

Guess the MD boys wanted to come up and play over the foliage over NH for a few days. Now that I know they're up here, I'll turn on my 104th freqs and see if I can catch some A-As tomorrow.

Yeah the Maryland A-10's like New Hampshire area at least once a year...
Like this old clip from several years ago as park visitor calls them F-10's (close enough) but very enthusiastic :)

May get some Pax River night time work near Chincoteague,Wallops over the next month or so.

Noise Advisory - NAS PAX RIVER Sets Noise Advisory for NAS Pax River, Wallops Island October 3-November 15, 2024 for Nighttime Test Flights
Communities surrounding Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland and Wallops Island, Virginia are advised that noise-generating nighttime testing events are scheduled to take place Oct. 3 to Nov. 15, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m.
In an effort to lessen the disturbance of these missions, pilots have been instructed to fly the lowest altitude portion of their flights prior to midnight, when possible.

Bye, bye, Diego? The UK has agreed to give up control of the Chaos Islands to the island country of Mauritius. That has huge MilAir implications because that means giving up control over the important air base at Diego Garcia to a country that has frequently been unstable. Supposedly the Mauritanians have agreed that the U.S. can continue using the base. Anyone want to take bets?

The amount of military assets affiliated with DG, will be worth a lot of rent/aide to the Mauritanians. The USN keeps preposition ships there, and a comms site, over and above the aviation use.

MacDill open again after Airmen assigned to the 6th Air Refueling Wing search for debris on the flight line at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, Oct. 3, 2024. More than 200 volunteers walked MacDill’s flight line to dispose of debris caused by Hurricane Helene. MacDill service members are working to restore the installation to full operational capability after Hurricane Helene, a Category 4 storm, carved out a devastating path from Florida's Gulf Coast to Tennessee and brought record breaking storm surge to MacDill AFB.
