Just had a Middlesex Ambulance with lights and sirens go through Delhi (Norfolk County) towards Simcoe. A long way from home. At least a couple of counties away.

There's been a lot of those lately especially around the GTA. I think we are going to see these hospital transfers more and more now with hospital capacities at an all time high.
Lots of GTA area COVID patients being transferred to rural hospitals.
I expected transfers, but not full lights and sirens. I guess so.
Not necessarily COVID, but it could have been a cardiac or severe injury being transferred to a facility ready and able to handle the case. As said its kind of rare, but because of its rarity not surprising that a higher level code 3 or even code 4 was used.
I have even heard of crusiers being used for emergency transport where EMS is delayed. Super rare but it does happen.
