Missing Bits

So last night I'm listening to Creek Co on 800. Bad guy is stealing a back-hoe and two units are responding. I was only picking up one of the conversation. I could hear one of the two units and dispatch. I don't think it was a trunking problem because I have no problem hearing all of everything else. And the conversation was moving at such a pace that I the repeater wasn't shutting off between transmissions. So I'm sure the problem wasn't me missing a frequency in the trunk.

Any theories?

My guess is that the other unit was answering on VHF (which I wasn't monitoring). Maybe?

they're notorious about splitting traffic on their 800 and VHF radios. It's even more confusing sitting at the console there :roll: :lol: If you search the shack photos thread, I posted a pic of what it looked like before I left (and the got Gold Elite radios!)
