I'm looking for a good Mobile scanner to put in my car. P25 compatible. Also what way could I use it to route the audio through my speakers?

The Uniden BCD996xt works very well for P25 decoding. For routing audio to your car speakers, it depends on the vehicle. Some newer vehicles have direct aux inputs to the head unit. The easiest way to do this would probably be to get an FM modulator made for use with cell phones or mp3 players to play music through, these can be bought at stores like best buy or the like (you will need one with a 3.5mm headphone plug, also you will need to go to radio shack to purchase a 3.5mm mono male to 3.5mm stereo female adapter). Whichever model you end up purchasing, you will plug it in to the REC output (green jack) on the back of the 996. You can then tune your radio to whatever frequency you set the modulator to. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I have temporarily fixed my issue using my hand held scanner for now. Had a friend with an AUX double ended cable. One end to the phone jack in scanner and the other in the AUX port of my Kenwood in dash player. Hoping to get the digital base scanner in sometime down the road and use the AUX double ended just like I did with my hand held. Just have to save up a bit more and then find the room to put it in.

The car I have is an 02 Ford Crown Vic,
