Or the state department of the military? Or anybody else responding to this current state of affairs? I know some of you are at home scanning; just wondered if you had picked up increased chatter on any of their talkgroups, especially HF/ALE. Clearly, don't post anything sensitive, but... I am super busy right now and just can't task time to monitoring.

Thanks!

I've been listening to TEMA on DMR, they have a Brandmesiter talk group and the hams have been passing some formal traffic. TACN is where I've heard most traffic

I've been monitoring TEMA, TDHS, TDOH and the TN National Guard talkgroups on TACN very closely the last few days but I haven't heard from TEMA. I did hear TDOH briefly use the statewide talkgroup early yesterday morning though.

I haven't heard anything. I can't imagine there will be anything interesting or noteworthy in those broadcasts. I'm sure most of their work is being done by e-mail and/or cell phone.

Most of the deployment planning is being done by video and tele conference. Once they start moving the pieces, there should be tactical radio use. It will be instructive to see how it works during a real-world mission.

TN NG will not do any sensitive comms on TACN. They use fully encrypted radios for vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to HT/Pack radios, same as all National Guard units in the other 49 states. Only your basic security, and ops will be on TACN... They might use the Mutual Aid TG's to interop with THP, and local LEA's for details on where they want them to stage etc.
