Has anyone noticed a drop off in radio chatter with Monroe county dispatch south the last few weeks?
I live over off Coolbaugh road Middle Smithfield townwship, about 8 miles NNW of the tower.

Fire South or PD South? If you live in Middle Smithfield, why would you want to hear Fire South? PD South is coming through fine. I’ll add Fire South to my list and see if I can hear anything.

PD dispatch south is what I meant. Kinda sucks as that is all I can listen to, other than park rangers over in the national recreation area.

Yeah, PD South is not simulcasted and is only receivable from the Foxtown Hill site. Most of the other channels are simulcasted, not sure why South isn’t. When I lived up in Wooddale 13 years ago, I had no trouble receiving South on an old Regency scanner using an indoor antenna. You may want to get a Yagi and point it at Foxtown. When the P25 Trunking project is complete, reception will be much better.

not sure why those few days were dead. started coming in regularly. Weird thing. I ended up rotating my 20ft mast with an st-2 towards camelback and started getting better reception. If I got up 400 feet with my uav I can see the towers by the watergap but have a clear view of cameback mountain from my house. I only listen to south as I don't really care what is going on in mt. Pocono.
