Sounds like 640 acres now.

I hear them talking about using H Event 18, but I am not hearing that one, discussing lots of BONKS,maybe using 8Call90 (is this a 800mhz non repeated channel?) Also lots of talk about using high band radios as well. If its not repeated, I wont pick any of that up, even if I knew the frequency.
Diffidently wish we knew what frequencies were being broadcast.

Does anyone know what they refered to as a COW seems MSP complained the fire was overloading a tower an wanted to request MDNR switch to high band, then Air5 request they bring in a cow. Later it was said radio service would be setting up a cow soon. Lots of traffic Event 18 tg1027

I was listening earlier thru Broadcastify TG's 1027, 1028, 1029 were active along with 4064 & 4065.

Not finding that group? Is it under a different county?
1027 is H-Event 18, 1028 is H-Event 19, 1029 is H-Event 20. Listed in the MPSCS DB under the Statewide Event Talkgroups.

Now heard Verizon mobile cell tower will be up running soon, also wi fi capibility is on the way from DETROIT!!!!! Guess the states on the ball with EM management!

Definitely sounds like the SOW, and they are definitely calling it a COW. Supposed to enable some 8TAC9x channels (local repeated) but it sounds like they are having coverage issues.
I am not hearing any of the event channels off the waters site...
SOW is mobile MPSCS site.COW is a mobile 8TAC Repeater.

Trooper 5 will be used today out of Roscommon an another Helo of some type/purpose is leaving Lansing for Gaylord not sure if that Gov Whitless on board or not, its election yr

I have not heard any high band comms as of today from an cow or sow. Another fire west of Lovells Stephan bridge an Co Rd 612, also a fire reported in Manistee protection Zone of Federal forest.
