I wish we could up and down vote posts like on Reddit, either way, lets be grateful for what we do have.🥄

@GTR8000 I fact checked my fuzzy memory and you are on target. Monopole near center of Basking Ridge is only hosting Somerset 700 TRS. My bad, thanks for squaring that away.

I look forward to the “Wind Mill“ site coming on line. The new site will backfill RF well into the base of the East West ridge in LH. I suspect the new site will erase any shadows created at the base of that ridge.

Ps, I am shocked the ENC question has not come up….lately. 😂

No worries, seems like everyone is on the same page now. But I must say, the BS this morning really makes me wonder if it's worth sharing info that wasn't even made public yet. Trying to give everyone some insight as to how their 700 cell will be configured and the difference from UHF, only to have someone trying to be clever in attempting to call me out for a typo that wasn't even mine to begin with, then playing the victim. I'll have to reevaluate what I post and share going forward, I guess. 🤷‍♂️

He already got his tiresome "BIG E!" post out of the way within a few hours of this thread being started. 🤦‍♂️

Morris County communications typically dispatches in the clear, encourages interoperability, And has discrete encrypted tac channels... The way it should be.

I will dust off my passwords for SpecxxWat and Capr.

We are now up to 15 sites. Two additIonal sites now on the FCC licenses, one previously discussed, Mountain Ave, Warren and a new one. Another typo. It is Pottersville Road near RT206, Bedminster, Peapack border. This is also an on paper, Somerset 700 TRS site. Given the amount of activity on RT206 South of Chester if built, will provide solid coverage.

The Potterville site was already discussed. The 700 cell is 14 subsites, not 15.

Deja vue again. There is no site in Pottersville. There is a license for a site in Bedminster. On Pottersville Rd. Documents refer to “Potterville”. That does not exist.

That is the Township of Bedminster, but technically it’s Pottersville.

Edit: Part of Pottersville is in Bedminster, part in Tewksbury Township.

Deja vu indeed. It seems like we rehash the same stuff over and over again with some of these systems. Perhaps not a bad idea to read the older posts to refresh memories before posting "new" info.

While perhaps previously discussed, the FCC licenses had not been updated to reflect
the addition of these two sites. The intent of #67 was to reflect the addition of these two sites. This just occurred, and that is “new“ information.

Let me just toss this out there - some consultants will create phantom sites to create interference contours around a defined area. They'll license the phantom sites, then they can create any site they want inside the defined aggregate interference contour and modify the license later. It throws a lot of people off, but sometimes the FCC license with fictitious or overtly wrong data is a consultant playing the system.

The sites on Morris's licenses are accurate and real. No reason to throw speculation like that out there with zero basis in fact. This thread is full of enough speculation as it is.

PS - Of all of the countless trunked licenses I've looked at over the years in the NY/NJ metro area in both ULS and CAPRAD, I have yet to come across a single one that has a BS site included just for the purposes of "what if". Yes, I've seen future sites licensed, but they were legit and were ultimately built out.

You haven't seen some of the consultants I've seen at work.

That's all fine and well, but what you deal with down in Florida or at your previous job really has no bearing on Morris County or their consultant, who is both well respected and is an active member of two local RPC's. So again, there was no reason to "just toss this out there" in this particular thread, as there is no question about the authenticity of the sites.

Validation of several previous comments, adding some new and relevant information. This FCC update/modification makes for licenses that are accurate and real. Long Hill “Site 1” has just been deleted.😳
