A few updates to the Morris County MIRS System found posted in the RR database. Initial contact will still be on MIRS-1 (33328) and then units will switch to the appropriate channel.

DEC HEX DESCRIPTION
33424 829 MIFD-1
33536 830 MIFD-2
33600 834 MIOP-1
33616 835 MIOP-2

Morris County Fire channels 3 and 4 of both MIFD and MIOP are turned off and the only way to access them is to contact the County OEM and request them to be activated. They will only activate them when all other channels have previously been assigned.

I'm assuming this is the same for the MIEM and MIPD channels 3 and 4.

Does anyone have the MIEM-1 and MIEM-2 talkgroups for EMS ? Or the MIPD-1 and MIPD-2 talkgroups ? Or the ALLCOMM talkgroup ?

Well, based upon the separation they are using by only using a numeric hex, it seems that MIFD-3 would be 33552 (hex 831) and MIFD-4 would be 33568 (hex 832).

This also appears to be the same for the interop groups...MIOP-3 being 33632 (hex 836) and MIOP-4 being 33648 (hex 837). However, the above talkgroups are turned off on the system unless needed and activated by OEM so I can't confirm anything.

I'm also guessing that the MIPD and MIEM groups are set up the same way. Since MIRS-1 is 33328 (hex 823) and MC-DESK is 33344 (hex 824) and the next numeric hex is 829 for MIFD-1, I'm guessing hex 825-828 is another set of 4 TG's used for interops and is either the MIPD or MIEM groups. They would be:

33360 825
33376 826
33392 827
33408 828

I have logged 33392 before.

I've also logged 39008 (986) and 39024 (987), so this may be where the other set of 4 is.

Of course this is all an educated guess, but watch for some of those TG's to pop up.

Well, I caught TG 33552 on the scanner yesterday. So it looks like my assumption may be correct.

Mirs is on the Morris County trunked system which is a digital system The PRO 95 is NOT a digital scanner you will not be able to get this

CONFIRMED another talkgroup today, 33312 is "COUNTY HAZMAT"...heard "Hazmat 2 to Comm Center, 10-7 at Wharton."

Also, picked up a Sheriff's unit call Comm 2 on 33456 and call out at Wharton PD. He did not get a response though. This may be one of the MI channels. Someone updated 33392 as MIPD-1 in the database, but I don't know if this has been confirmed.

Lastly, does anyone have a listing of the Posts used on the Comm2 channel ? I believe I heard Hanover Ave/Post 7, so I'm guessing this is the County Library.

Lots of activity on 33456 today..mostly 10-28's through Comm2 by 500 and 600 units. I thought I also heard someone say MIPD.

Now I heard someone calling a Parsippany PD unit for a meet on this TG. I think itmay be an MIPD. Also hearing Prosecutor units, 91 units, all apparently looking for a Bank Robbery suspect out of Berkley Heights possibly enroute to the Long Hill/chatham area.

I'll keep listening.

The Morris County Agressive Driving Task force was using this TG A LOT tonight.

I did some searching and saw that this thread mentioned it.

Is this one of the MIPD's?
