I am looking for the smallest 2.4g antenna to put on the outside of my car. most
of the stuff out there is good but i am looking for a little smaller one , maybe a dual band antenna that tunes in FM too. any links appreciated, especially hard to find ones.

it's pretty impractical to mix a microwave antenna with an FM broadcast antenna.

If you want "small", you're going to get it. Quarter wave at 2.4 ghz is around 3 centimeters or so, if i recall.

Whatcha trying to receive? We could help tune our suggestions to your specific requirements. :)

how about a small pedestal ant. like you see nowadays about 3" high
that combines a gps and 2.4,, or combines a XM sat with 2.4g..??

Check MFJ Enterprises for a 2.4 Ghz yagi. Also google "pringles can antenna", lots of hackers use them to find hot spots.

I picked a few of those off of ebay for ~5$ each....

These are meant to attach to an NMO style mount. We have them on our buses and they ary VERY durable.

I'm currently running an 800mhz Antenex antenna and absolutely love it. Great reception. They do carry all bands and some dual band antenna's. Great product !!!
