Requires the correct software, a "rib" box, cable, and a slow DOS computer, Modern processors send the data too quickly and the RSS software only runs on DOS, not even in a DOS box on Windows.
They are the period and service correct radio for the piece of fire apparatus they are on I have 4 of them I just need them reprogrammed to a single conventional channel
If I remember correctly most were trunking in the 800mhz range. I'm not sure if you can add conventional to them, but more importantly you cannot just pick a 800mhz frequency and add it in the radio to use it. I think your best bet is to just leave them on the vehicle and leave them alone.

I am aware you can't just pick a random channel , there is licensure involved which is covered I'm working off a existing 800mhz system . Supposedly the regular stx can be conventional but not the 821 . Can you program it or are you just looking to be negative?
