Can anyone advise the frequencies used by the production companies filming movies and tv shows in NYC.

Production companys rent biz band radios in my experiance. Also check the mid 173s

Come to downtown Manhattan on weekend and you will almost guaranteed to hear some movie shoot going on. Like newsnick175 said, most companies use rental radios which means the same frequency could be heard elsewhere on a different movie set.
