Seems there are two new sites on the MPS NEXEDGE 4800 system. One confirmed in Cape May (Site 4), the other (Site 3) not yet identified, but appearing on the peer list.

MPS has a bunch of YG licenses with NXDN 4K00F__ emissions, so Site 3 could be almost anywhere. I would probably check the Freehold/West Freehold area first (451.95625 and 452.39375), simply because that site is on the same WQSA690 license as the two Trenton sites.

Speaking of Trenton, can anyone (@trentbob) confirm that the city is no longer using the MPS system at this point, with everything on the county system? We still have a ton of talkgroups listed that might not even be valid anymore.

Yep, it's not like I don't know, I just don't follow Trenton anymore even though I'm a couple of miles away on the other side of the river., I worked there for 30 years at a local newspaper but it could slide into the river and I wouldn't care.

Trenton fire department is on the Mercer County TRS, can't tell you how good transmissions are, it works so well. As posted on the database, F1 is dispatch, F2 is secondary and F3 is tertionary and it also works off Mercer County tac channels 4 and 5 for fireground. Best reception I've heard in well over 40 years of listening.

I actually monitor Trenton fire along with Bucks County south and east bands along with their Ops channels.

Give me some time to set up the old nxdn, no reason to listen to it as it was nothing but the dog catcher and streets department, Water Department, housing inspectors Etc, painful for anyone to ever have to listen to but I will set it up and listen in the clear and contribute what I find.

For those who know, anything can happen with Trenton, does everyone know that the police were in the clear on dispatch 1 for quite a while on the NJICS on NJSP Troop C, 2 comm from Hamilton headquarters? LOL.

I wouldn't say a word about it of course, lest some mindless nitwit would stream it on a cell phone and shut it down instantly.

It's gone now, word got out, don't really care anymore, I'm retired.

Give me a couple days, I'll give you all I can find. I always enjoy a project.😉

Yep it sounded great, using the Bordentown simulcast site. It was actually consistent and when it went silent, I didn't bother to try anymore.

I got the nx48 system up and running with five bars on State Street and Hoffman Avenue sites. So far it's quiet.. it's a little early.

@GTR8000, I noticed that the control channel listed in the database for the State Street site on MPS comms was incorrect, control channel is 461.91875, I hadn't looked at the Trenton database in quite a long time.

Submission has been made.

ID searching MPS comms consistently with five bars on both Hoffman Avenue and State Street and nothing so far. System does appear alive and well, there might be some obscure seldom used talk group still in use?

@GTR8000 so I've been doing a ID search on the MPS comms for several hours and I hear absolutely nothing. I will periodically listen over the next few days and let you know if anything happens.

Here is a photo of the correct State Street control channel that I submitted to the database.

The plot thickens. Bob identified a new control channel for Site 1, which was confirmed by the Cape May site's neighbor list. However it turns out that the Site 3 control channel is 463.24375, which was the previous Site 1 control channel.

The only license for that frequency in the entire state is at East State Street in Trenton, aka Site 1.

Bob, are you able to pick up a control channel on 463.24375 anymore?

Anyone else in the state feels like checking for a NXDN 4800 control channel on 463.24375, would be appreciated.

@GTR8000, I just confirmed that 463.24375 is not an active ccontrol channel in the vicinity of Trenton.

I don't drive very much anymore and just very locally in my area otherwise I would enjoy a good Fox Hunt.😉
