sorry brain cramps as wife was bugging me . Has anyone used UniTrunker or simular sdr to monitor?
Guess no body read my whole question about unitrunker or Sdr trunk? has anyone used either to monitor MTP-1327??sorry brain cramps as wife was bugging me . Has anyone used UniTrunker or simular sdr to monitor?
YesIs there any MPT1327 any longer?
I've tried using Unitrunker 2.0 with our utility companies VHF MPT1327 (217 meg) and it doesn't really do much. I don't know how the trunking works but the voice traffic is all analog so it's easier to just scan 217.5 - 218.0 megs if you're looking to hear the power guys. And since they're simplex voice channels, it's easy to tell the crew working on restoring your power. My local Electric&gas Co op just in the last few yrs switched to 800mhz MPT1327
Some large public utility used MPT1327 on the west coast of the USA. There's not much of it left. The main hassle with MPT1327 is assigning frequencies to each channel.sorry brain cramps as wife was bugging me . Has anyone used UniTrunker or simular sdr to monitor?
One would have had to notice the subject line going into the thread as the words "MPT-1327" appear nowhere in the opening post. Not splitting hairs here but that's likely why. P.S. my wife bugs me when I listen to too much radio so I can definitely relateGuess no body read my whole question about unitrunker or Sdr trunk? has anyone used either to monitor MTP-1327??

PG&E for some reason is rolling it out all around California in various counties. Really weird to see pop up in the USA as it was already dated and on the way out in the EU and Australia 🙄
Yeah figured it was a radio shop trying to clear out the dormant junk pile too but like you said, with PG&E their motto is sloppiness is next to godliness so I'm not suprised. All it takes is a good sales person and a cheap skate customer. PG&E has a long history of cutting corners on their equipment to boost shareholder profits. At least it wasn't a fully tricked out P25 phase 2 system.
Briefly had a Harris guy attempt to sell me an OpenSky system not long ago. I think he could hear my eyes roll and gave up.
P I E & G is also a electric& gas co op in northern Mi, not just Ca.PG&E for some reason is still rolling it out all around California in various counties. Really weird to see pop up in the USA as it was already dated and on the way out in the EU and Australia 🙄
I also briefly remember a Uniden handheld having the ability to track it back then, it was the international version of either the bc346 or BR330 I can't remember.
No they're both pretty much only in their respective areas since PG&E ≠ PIE&G. Last I remember there was no Pacific Ocean in Michigan and no Presque Isle in California. Also PG&E is not a Cooperative, it was proposed but rejected by the company a few years back during bankruptcy.P I E & G is also a electric& gas co op in northern Mi, not just Ca.
There has never been any Uniden scanner being able to track MTP1327.I also briefly remember a Uniden handheld having the ability to track it back then, it was the international version of either the bc346 or BR330 I can't remember.
