We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. Multi-use Tower in Newark, DE

My location is Newark, DE.

I would like to erect a tower to be used for Citizen Band, HD digital TV and I intend on getting my Amateur Radio license. I want to do it properly. Because I am in Newark, DE I need a tall, good antenna to get HD digital TV. Plus I have a CB base unit that I actually have found some local people to chat with but most are near Elkton, MD and I need a taller antenna. I know that if I'm using a radio I might interfere with my HD because they will be using the same tower, but I don't really use them at the same time.

1. What is the tallest I can erect for personal use.
2. Do I need to get a permit?
3. Do I have to wait all day at the permit office like I did when I got my pool permit?
4. What is the tallest tower I can erect without a permit?

Those are all the questions I can think of at this time. My neighbor a couple blocks over had this whip antenna on top of a tower that is probably 30 ft tall. His license plate has something to do with Ham Radio so I know that's what he uses it for. i figured I'd ask here before bugging him.
