I really like the looks of the ProScan software. I downloaded the client and connected to a few feeds, and I really like the looks and the operation of it. However, I know that not all of the people who will be listening to my feed will be able to install the client, like those at work or on someone else's computer. I read somewhere about a guy who successfully ran the ProScan client off of a thumb drive, but that isn't always going to be an option for some people.

So, is anyone here running multiple methods of streaming on the same PC/server? More specifically, how about ProScan and some other method off of the same machine? I don't have one of the compatible Uniden scanners at this point in time, but as soon as I figure this out, I'll likely be upgrading and adding ProScan.

For referrence, the method I am using now is Simplecast and Icecast. My feed is at http://firestormphoto.com/scanner, although it is probably pretty quiet.

Hmmmm... I think that either I don't understand the answer, or you didn't understand the question.

With one computer and one scanner, I want to use Proscan (specifically Scanner Over IP) and some other method that does not require a client (like the Simplecast/Icecast method). That way those using their own machines can use the Proscan client, and those at work and such can use the other method.

Does that make sense?
