Whenever I am on the LEIN channel for Muskegon County I can only hear the dispatcher and I cannot hear the officer.
I have a Pro-422, and I don't think the officers are on digital..

I have the same problem but it is intermittent. Late at night I never have any problems. but during the day it is hit or miss. Maybe its depends on where the unit is located within the county. I also have a pro-422 and a BC-350, and a UBC60XLT-2 and it happens on all three radios.

I thought of that, but there is another Muskegon feed that uses the same exact LEIN frequency but you can hear them.

Also I have a RadioShack Pro-433 not Pro-422... Fail on my part.

Lein traffic

It is also possible that the dispatcher is stronger due to more power and antenna height, and the cars are answering on another frequency with less power and less antenna gain. The county where I used to live had this capability. Even when using a repeater, the frequencies are often different, and can have different PL or DPL tones.

Nate one of their towers is located on Creston between Apple and Laketon. Take a drive that way with one of your radios and see if you can pick up the other side of the transmission. They have another tower I just cant remember where it is.
