My close call stopped working

I have a 996...and for some reason I cant get anything on the close call any more.

Did I toggle a switch by mistake?? I have tried all bands on also all bands off.

From what I understand when you set a band to the on position It will Not scan that band.

I cant see any ware In the 996 manual that explains this.

I need some help on this...to make It work again...how can I test It...I have a CB near by to send out a signal.

go download bctool and check the lockout settings if you cant find them in the menu for the close call.

Also make sure that noting showed up in the area of your scanner that raised the noise floor so much that it wont work.

a good test to try is to make sure its "on" then on a drive out of town take your CB or FRS radio and start talking once you get away from the urban noise you might get better results.
