clean setup. i'm not big on the permanant looking install with the HH but that's me. I tend to carry my HH with me so i just clip it up on the visor when I get in my car. When i get a permanent setup then i'll get a nice base to mount in there. I will give you props on the cleanness of the setup though.

Same Setup

Nice clean install. I use the same mount and antenna for my PRO 96 in my 2004 Corolla, and it works great. (I'll post pics one of these days.) Why did you take out 1 coil? How is it affecting your reception?

Since when the hell does Radio Shack make a scanner mount? LOL!! I never even knew that they made one! Nice setup... neat and clean.

That's where I got mine from also. Pic number 3 shows a potential issue if you want to run a power source but I use batteries as I only use this setup once in awhile on weekends. Works well.

Mine works pretty good the only thing I dont like is the rod is to long I have it in my F150 so I had to bend it into a curve to make it work

The problem I see with the mount is the same thing I discovered from using one. The grip will loose it's strength over time and your scanner will end up falling to a hard surface below. I have the Panavise ClipCaddy #777 for my FT60R and a second for my PRO97. Both hold on nicely, the clip fits inside, I never take the clip off. They can be mounted just about anywhere. I use the supplied screws to mount one on a flex mount and the other on an angle bracket coming out of the dash, next to the car stereo.

That's a nice mount ! Have you thought about using a Dremel to carve out a semi circle in the plastic to allow for power adaptor usage ?
