Now just a nice digital base scanner, and a computer (or laptop), and that would be a very nice, simple, but good setup!

Thanks for the replies, not need for a digital base unit as we don't have anything worth listening to on one here and I have a netbook which will normally live on the desk but that was missing for this photo

That looks like an Icom IC-R75, I actually would like one of those, while my HF rig covers that, I've actually always wanted a receive only unit and I've been eying that one.
