I have a Pro 2035 that I want to get cleaned up and working. I wish the darn thing would receive more frequencies below 25 MHz and 520 to 760 MHz portions. It's a very good radio. One thing is that it needs a new encoder, I am using the other one from an old DX-390 shortwave receiver. I wish I had what you guys have called the Opto Electronics Opto Scan OS-535 Opto Scan board in my radio so I can hook up to my computer to program the frequencies using the computer keyboard. The one thing I don't like about old receivers is that when things go digital, how in the world am I am supposed to receive ACPO 25 signals. They need to come out with a digital to analog converter like device that can receive digital transmissions. Still it's a good radio for conventional analog transmissions. If anyone has any solutions on how to expand coverage in the 520 to 760 MHz, OS-535, and ACPO 25 decoding let me know.

Unfortunately, that's kinda like asking your old black & white TV to receive color high def signals. Even if you could possibly extend the range, the front end of your scanner is much optimized to receive up to 512 Mhz.

Second, the digital trunking systems and their scanners have a lot of smarts to switch voice channels to their users under computer control. While it may be possible to decode APCO 25 voice channels most of the users of those systems are in the 850-870 Mhz band which your radio couldn't receive anyway.

Best to bite the bullet and get a newer digital trunker if you can. You will so enjoy it. Keep the the old analog unit for listening to the loads old frequencies still listenable.
