I know its not much, my scanner is over taken by my wife right now, its just a basic Pro99 nothing you guys havent seen.

Get this my Midland 100M Cb was found in a boat that was left in the sun, rain, snow, ice for over 3yrs, the owner said i could have the CB and I took it home to see if it had any parts i might could use, well it fired right up!! the only thing i had to replace was the speaker, and mic element, WOW thats called built to last

Now that's just about the most wife-friendly setup I've seen. I like it. Of course, you say you're wife has overtaken your scanner - so you have one of those rare ones who actually likes your radio hobby too :)

Nice hide away place ...to bad my closet is packed full ...looks like a great idea. On a side note, that is an awful lot of weight on those rigs. You may want to consider a battery box so the acids don't spill over and ruin those radios. Just my opinion.

Neat setup...small monitor tho, maybe you should look into getting a larger one!

If you are worried about the battery, you can eliminate any threat of 'lead leakage' check out these sealed marine deep cycle batteries from optima.

Glad to hear you wife is into it also,....mine stole one of my pro-96's !!!

Hey, is that a Westinghouse LCD TV? If it is, I think I have the same one, it works great as a monitor...not so well as a TV...has that stupid 'lip-sync' problem. Bought it at Sam's club...price was too good to be true. Lesson learned. Nice little corner of the Earth you have!

nope, no lip sync problem , mine works great, heck I can pick up channels that other HDTVs cant, and the PIP is great to watch TV and Computer at the same time

Only thing i wish it had was Coax Digital Audio Out

Well, I just found out that my LCD was the first gen. and they have finally come out with a firmware update for the TV! w00t! No lip-sync problems anymore!! (It was due to the video not being able to process as fast as the audio.)

I run my TV with cable and a laptop mounted in the cabinet that runs an WeatherStar4000 emulator on the PC input (so that I can watch local on the eights...whenever I want!!)

Looks very nice I especially like the look of the HF radio.

Just one concern where do you charge your battery?
