It's not much, just starting to build my shack. I'd like to add a base scanner but not sure which one to go with. I've been looking at the PSR-600 but would be open to feedback and suggestions.

I'll be adding a portable outside antenna within the month.

That's an interesting priority. I'm pretty sure someone ales would have recommended getting a better antenna first.
