After going through some radios over the last few years, I think I've finally settled on this for my shack: GRE PSR-310 on the left, RS Pro-106 on the right side. The iMac makes a great platform for cruising the RR database and forums, or else listening to live feeds. (Not shown is a small Acer netbook running Win500 for programming.)

Thanks! Yeah, this is our first Mac. Took some getting used to coming from Windows, but it is really great! Just wish someone would write some scanner software for them...

Nice setup OTH!

I too might be persuaded to switch sides to a mac, but I greatly dislike the insanely small, flat, ten key-less keyboard and the small mouse with 3" of a USB cable.

That looks like it would slip right out- Does it?

I've got a holder similar to the one pictured. On mine, there are two "feet" (for lack of a better word) at the bottom that the scanner sits on, keeping it from slipping out. With as tight as I have the "jaws" clamped shut, I don't think my radio would slip out, but it's nice to have some support at the bottom just in case.

:)

Thanks folks!

Yup, SouthSide has got it -- there are two small feet that can rotate and help hold your radio, GPS, cell phone, whatever.
