Where did you find those antenna mounts?

How is the ground plane performance on them?

Those are book ends I picked up at Staples. Performance is Ok with them, I wouldn't mind trying to figure out how to ground them for better performance.

I use a magmount on the windowsill. The frame under the paint is metal and gives a good grounding surface. I am keeping an eye out for some scrap metal that will fit the window frame. I may consider having a piece custom cut to fit across the entire width of the window if I can find someone working in a shop.

Can you give some details on the nextel amp? I just got nextel and I love it, but I'm curious about this amp in case I need more signal in the future.

those radio shack "All Band" Mobile antenna's are Grounded through the Coax into the Radio. I tore one apart once to get the magnet off to perm-mount it to a car. Nothing on that antenna touches the magnet, which sticks to your car. Or in you're case, Staples Book-shelve ends. (Nice!)
