Has anyone else been hearing the traffic on this freq (155.475) lately? This am sounded like either some type of scrambling or two conversations at the same time. A week or so ago, there was testing going on between LA and Sacramento. Agencies/units heard:LARTMC, LAPD,5D11, LA Comm, OES Sac, Sac Academy, and NFAC? Tech.

NLEMARS is called "Baymacs" in Santa Clara County, and can be patched with a number of different frequencies on UHF (SJPD10) and T band.

Designated here as an InterOp Command channel.

From what location are you hearing interties between SAC and Los Angeles ?

Your master site
It's commonly used by the CADOJ in a scrambled mode when they probably can't hijack CLEMARS because it's being legitimately used.

Under 47 CFR § 90.20, pages 255 & 265, 155.475 "is available nationwide for use in police emergency communications networks operated under statewide law enforcement emergency communications plans."

All the licenses in CA for that frequency are under the State.

LA County LE agencies hold a weekly test on 155.475 and 868.5125.
They are linked together. All LA country LE agencies and some state and federal for interop testing. They also get Ventura and Orange county involved at times.

Yep, LARTCS - the Los Angeles Regional Tactical Communications System, http://www.lartcs.org/

The frequencies are temporarily linked as needed, including for the tests, which are usually conducted at 09:30 each Tuesday and 21:30 each Thursday from the Sheriff's Communications Center ("SCC"). Most UHF agencies access this net via LASD Mutual Aid 3, 483.7875 or Mutual Aid 5, 484.0625, and it's usually also linked to high-level transmitters on 159.15, 159.18, and on other bands too.

Here's a 4-year-old but interesting PowerPoint presentation about the system, which is still in its infancy. Additional command and tactical channels are envisioned for the future as funding and equipment allow.

O.P.E.N. in Oregon

In Oregon it is called O.P.E.N. -- short for Oregon Police Emergency Network. It is licensed to the Oregon State Police and is available to all departments. It is always simplex and without PL tone, consequently it is frequently used by many as a "talk-around chit-chat" channel.
