I have a Pro-197 and I am trying to pick up narrow band from the forest service. I have all the frequencies entered, I have the scanner running fm, I am running only 10 ft of rg6 from scanner to discone antenna. I am pretty close to the forest, and I have all the right pl's program. the forest used 3 different pl's so I added the frequency to my scanner 3 times with the different pl's. Nothing any suggestons?

Try editing those freqs, using pl search instead of known pl's ? Also set those freqs in your favorite list and in more than one list.

Remove the PL tones. They only serve to restrict what your scanner will receive if they're programmed. If you have no tones programmed you'll get any signal on that frequency, not just those that use the programmed tone(s).

Could it be that they switched to P-25? If you have it is CTCSS, it won't hear digital. Try programming it in AUTO and SEARCH mode. See if that makes a difference. You may find something new:)
