Well today the family decided to take a trip to the Nashville Zoo, with a
big surprise in store.

My plans were to just use the BCD396 for some close call work, but quickly
found that would change quickly.

A Code (Red) was put out on the 461.100 frequency which indicated an animal
had escaped its enclosure, once this occurred they started a net with the
net control call being (Sputnik).

Most of the traffic was on the main frequency (461.100) and some were using
cells for alternate info.

To say the least you would think they would have a plan in place for an
animal and have it started soon as the net started, but It took them a few
minutes to get the zoo secured and start turning back visitors.

After 45 minutes the animal (Gibbon) returned to his own enclosure and darts
were not needed.

The zoo would not tell any of the customers outside what was going on, and
there were a lot of out of town plates on cars in the lot.

So think ,do you need the radio or not to keep you interested.

At least it was not a tiger !
