zero activity in the past hour, no peers listed. The oysterbay site has it listed as a peer but does not have a check in the box for active in unitrunker. the 700 south has an interesting band plan also. BEE00-1AE Site 001-004 NAC is BD2

Interesting.

I am not getting what it should be, 1AE. I get BD3. Thought my DSDPlus P25 data file was messed up but same thing in a virgin copy of DSDPlus that never scanned any of the Nassau sites. And also in SDRTrunk.

Something is going on here if the site is broadcasting a completely new SysID. I would scan the entire 769-775 and 851-860 spectrum looking for another BD3 control channel on the air. It's possible that they are doing a massive upgrade of the system and have changed SysID's in the process.

By the way, that band plan might look odd with the 900 MHz entries, but in fact it's been the standard/default ASTRO 25 band plan for a number of years now.

I haven't really paid much attention to this system. Was there ever talk of getting rid of the T-Band frequencies and going strictly 700/800 MHz TDMA? If the 700 MHz South cell is now Site 2 with the new SysID, that means there is a Site 1 out there, possibly the 700 MHz North cell.

That's to be expected, they're not going to mess with sites that are currently very active. Is the 800 cell also pretty active? I assume that's still Site 3 of 1AE? So the mystery is 700 North, which I've taken the liberty of changing to Site 1 of BD3 for the time being.

I didn’t pay attention to the control channel. signal was weak. The uhf simulcast performed much better in central Nassau. Only activity was medical control in the clear, and the usual encrypted PD talk groups.

1ae site 3 aka the 800mhz simulcast is pretty active with all the nassau pd precincts, bso, oem main, numc main, prisoner transport, and couple of the village pd/security talkgroups and suffolk command band. Suffolk site 4,6 are listed as peers. Is the 700north on the air. I figured I would be able to pick it up coming off the Melville tower but I'm not receiving an active control channel.

Yeah, 800 is pretty active.

I got a couple of hits on it on Thursday
On what? 700 South? I had it on 2 days and not even seen a single a radio affiliation.

I have a pretty clear shot to the West and I see nothing on those North freqs. I did pull in MRRS zone 3 cc while looking. Not seeing any new freqs in that range.

Can someone out in the NYC/Nassau area could check these?

When on 500mhz site 1, it lists 700 south as isolated.

When on 500mhz site 2, no mention of 700 south, just site 1

I was in central Nassau and tested the south, north; and uhf simulcasts individually to see which worked best where I was located. The uhf was by far the strongest for me. The south clearly found a control channel, but I didn’t note the freq. I did not receive the CC for the north simulcast. I was updating my trunking sites but I am no longer local so I cannot confirm.

Took a quick look at 2 FRN belonging to Nassau and all 7/800 freqs are pretty much listed in the db with the exception of 10 700 freqs that are most likely going to be voice freqs. If anyone out that way wants the check them for activity,

While I was in west Islip I checked all the frequencies listed that would be associated with the north cell and did not find a control channel.
